Nelson Elder Care Law is committed to senior citizens and Cherokee county. Nelson Elder Care Law was a proud sponsor of the Leona M. Kitchen Annual Golf Tournament to raise money for respite care. Cindy was the chair of Norcross Meals on Wheels. Cindy is a board member for Aloha on Aging. Cindy is a member of the Cherokee Volunteer Aging Council. Nelson Elder Care Law hosted the first annual Pay it Forward luncheon for Senior Connections. Nelson Elder Care Law is a sponsor of the Cherokee County Casino Night to raise funds for Seniors. Nelson Elder Care Law donated toys for Toys for Tots. Nelson Elder Care Law made a donation to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children. Cindy and Liz adopted two Cherokee county seniors for the holidays. As a team, Nelson Elder Care Law helped 8 pro bono clients in 2014. The Volunteer Aging Council of Cherokee County alerted us to the fact that many Seniors right here in Cherokee County have a dire need for toilet paper. In some instances folks have been reusing their TP. In an effort to help our seniors we did a campaign in our office for donations of toilet paper and/or money to purchase TP and thanks to your our clients, vendors and friends you did not disappoint! We raised close to $2000 and we had several cases of TP over taking our office. Cindy presented Marcine Johnson, the Chairperson for the Volunteer Aging Council, with the check and all the TP.
