We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee key accounting operations and partner closely with the CFO in leading the financial function. This individual will supervise a small accounting team while owning core accounting processes, financial reporting, and operational analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Supervise accounting personnel across AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

• Analyze revenue, expenses, budgeting activity, and operational variances

• Support sales tax reporting and compliance initiatives

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

• Develop reporting and analytical tools to support operational decision-making

• Partner with leadership on process improvement and financial initiatives

• Support ERP systems and identify opportunities for workflow optimization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5–10+ years of accounting and/or accounting management experience

• Experience leading accounting teams

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• ERP experience required

• Experience with QuickBooks and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred

• Consumer products, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments preferred

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
