Transactional Associate Attorney, Professional Liability

A nationally recognized boutique insurance coverage firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Professional Liability team in Atlanta. This is a unique opportunity for attorneys interested in a primarily transactional, advisory-driven insurance practice with limited litigation. The role sits at the intersection of coverage analysis, claims monitoring, and client advisory work , supporting domestic and international insurer clients on complex professional liability matters. Associates work closely with partners on sophisticated matters involving policy interpretation, risk assessment, and ongoing claims oversight across a range of professional sectors. The practice is highly collaborative and offers significant client exposure in a boutique environment with strong institutional recognition. While occasional litigation or coverage disputes may arise, the core of the role is non-litigation focused and centered on strategic coverage advisory work . Job

Monitoring professional liability claims, lawsuits, and circumstances for insurer clients Analyzing insurance policies and providing coverage, exposure, and risk assessments Preparing detailed coverage opinions, reports, and client-facing memoranda Communicating directly with insurers, brokers, and insured professionals regarding claims developments Evaluating pleadings, expert materials, and case updates to assess liability and exposure Coordinating with defense counsel on strategy, budgets, and case progression, as needed Tracking reserves, reporting obligations, and key claim developments throughout lifecycle Supporting occasional coverage litigation and declaratory judgment matters Maintaining ongoing client relationships through consistent advisory reporting and updates This position offers: A primarily transactional / advisory insurance coverage practice (not litigation-heavy) Direct exposure to domestic and international insurer clients Sophisticated professional liability matters across multiple industries Early responsibility with significant client interaction A boutique, mentorship-driven environment with strong institutional reputation High-quality, steady workflow in a specialized national practice
